PDF is the usual format for forms, bills, admit cards and study material, and Acrobat Reader is one of the best-known apps for opening them. You can read, search, highlight, add comments and fill in forms.
Combine it with Google Drive if you want to keep your documents in one place.
Acrobat Reader covers the basics most people need: reading, highlighting, filling and signing. Editing text or merging files usually needs a paid plan, and free alternatives exist for those jobs. The bigger concern is safety: PDFs from strangers can lead to fake login pages, so open only files from sources you trust.
An applicant receives a PDF form, fills in the fields on the phone, signs it with the fill-and-sign tool and sends it back, without printing and scanning anything.
For a CV, see our resume guide. Store documents in Google Drive and avoid phishing traps.
Fill-and-sign is available for many forms, but check which format the office accepts.
Read the document fully first, and keep a copy of the signed file.
